“Society for Global Moderation” (formerly known as The Moderates), an international organization, was created in October 2003 to counter extremism and intolerance in society. It came to birth against the repercussions and aftermath of post-9/11 developments.
It caters to the idea of not being against any religion, custom or creed but to facilitate a society that is based on moderation and temperance, by changing attitudes and enhancing values.
The organization deems it possible to evolve a moderate mindset in society from within, with the help of people dedicated to the principles of moderation and tolerance. |
